Q - What is EMBROIDERY MART?
A - Embroidery Mart is a national trade show featuring 1000's of products from your favorite suppliers for your commercial embroidery business and/or apparel decoration business. Embroidery Mart - SOUTH is in Houston Aug. 6-7, 2010. Embroidery Mart - EAST is in Nashville Aug. 20-21, 2010.

Companies showcasing equipment (embroidery, direct garment printing, laser engraving, sublimation, heat press), digitizing software, blank goods, supplies and services are exhibiting at Embroidery Mart.

Embroidery Mart is your answer to "how do I boost sales and expand my business?"! When you attend Embroidery Mart, you receive immediate information and feedback, you network with suppliers and peers face-to-face and you check out the latest in the apparel decoration industry!

By attending Embroidery Mart, you connect with the people, tools and knowledge you need to be successful!

Come to the Trade Show ready to do business with the suppliers. Bring lots of business cards. Prepare a credit application that includes all the pertinent information about your company, such as your federal tax ID#, credit references, companies with whom you already have Net 30 terms established.

Walk the entire trade show once. If you have time after that, walk it again, going in the opposite direction. Sounds strange, but many folks see things they missed the first time around! If an exhibitor is busy, stop back when you can have the access and time you need to make sure that all your questions are answered. Look at how products are merchandised, get ideas for your business. Wear your work (and comfy shoes)! It is a great opportunity to showcase what you do, among people that will recognize and appreciate it!

Q - Why are there TWO Embroidery Marts?
A - We are hosting 2 Embroidery Marts this year due to the overwhelming requests from apparel decorators and industry suppliers for more excellent trade shows. Mart - SOUTH & Mart - EAST are "sister" shows, in that they offer the same hours, same format, and same opportunities for apparel decorators and industry suppliers to come together in a professional setting.

Q - Who can attend Embroidery Mart?
A - Everyone already involved in the commercial embroidery industry or apparel decoration industries, and everyone interested in commercial embroidery and apparel decoration as a business.

NNEP membership is not required to attend. NNEP members get in free - it is a member benefit!

Future apparel decorators under the age of 14 will not be permitted in the Embroidery Mart exhibit hall or in the classes. All minors 14+ must show proof of age to register and be accompanied by an adult to enter the Embroidery Mart exhibit hall or Classes.

Q - When is it?
A - Embroidery Mart - SOUTH is Aug. 6-7, 2010 at the Intercontinental Hotel, located in the Galleria District of Houston, Texas.

Embroidery Mart - EAST is Aug. 20-21, 2010 at the Nashville Convention Center, located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Q - When is the Trade Show open?
A - The show hours are the same in Houston and Nashville. The Trade Show is open Friday & Saturday from 10 AM - 5 PM. On Friday, FREE classes are at 9 AM & 12:30 PM. On Saturday, FREE classes are at 10 AM & 12:30 PM.

Q - Should I pre-register before the Embroidery Mart?
A - Pre-registration to attend the Embroidery Mart is not required. When you pre-register by June 26, 2009, we know you are attending and we will have a trade show directory ready for you when you arrive in Houston or Nashville. The directories are printed at the end of June. Pre-registration closes at midnight, August 2, 2010. Once pre-registration ends, you CAN register at the door, for the same fee, although you may not receive the Embroidery Mart directory.

If you are experiencing difficulties with online registration, please call NNEP at 800-866-7396 between 9 AM - 5PM EST, before August 2 and your registration can be taken over the phone. After August 2, you can register at the event either in Houston or in Nashville.

Q - Can I register at Embroidery Mart?
A - YES,
In HOUSTON - Registration is open from 1 - 6:30 PM on Thursday, 8:15 AM - 5 PM on Friday & 9:15 AM - 5 PM on Saturday at the Intercontinental Hotel.

In NASHVILLE - Registration is open from 1 - 6:30 PM on Thursday, 8:15 AM - 5 PM on Friday & 9:15 AM - 5 PM on Saturday at the Nashville Convention Center.

Q - How do I register for Embroidery Mart?

NNEP membership is not required to attend. NNEP members get in free - it is a member benefit!

Register online or by mail, fax or phone (800-866-7396). When you register ONLINE, you will receive an acknowledgement of your registration by email. If you register by phone, fax or mail, you will NOT be mailed an acknowledgement when you register for the Trade Show.

Q - How much?
A - Registration is $20/person for either Embroidery Mart-SOUTH or Embroidery Mart-EAST. Your registration covers BOTH DAYS at the Embroidery Mart Trade Show and all the FREE classes presented by Exhibitors. If you are a current member of the National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP), registration is free for everyone that attends from your organization.
FYI - NNEP membership is not required to attend. NNEP members get in free - it is a member benefit!

Q - What airport is the closest?
A - To make air travel arrangements, call your travel agent or check online for competitive airfares. For Embroidery Mart - South, fly into Bush InterContinental or Hobby Airport in Houston. Hobby Airport is closer to the hotel. To get to the hotel, go to Ground Transportation at either airport. Estimated fare for the shuttle is $18.00 each way. Estimated cab fare is $35.00. Q - What is the DoDuds Apparel Drive?
A - Each year, NNEP hosts a DoDuds Apparel Drive at Embroidery Mart for the Embroidery Network Foundation. Donate NEW clothing, blank or decorated. All collected apparel items are donated to women's shelters, as they have great need for new apparel in all sizes, for women and children. Imagine what a difference we can make if everyone brings at least one item!

Q - What are Hooper Collectibles?
A - The sale of Hooper Collectible figurines is one of the primary fundraisers for Embroidery Network Foundation, which supports Women's Shelters across the United States. Support this program by making a donation to ENF at Embroidery Mart. As you enjoy Hooper's sunny disposition, you will be reminded that you have played a role in adding a smile to another.

Q - Where can I eat?
A - A consesssion stand offering sandwiches, snacks and drinks is open for lunch on Friday & Saturday at Embroidery Mart. Each hotel also offers a full service restaurant. Enjoy meals with the embroiderers and apparel decorators you meet in the classes or at the Trade Show. It is a great opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and decorators in a noncompetitive environment!

Q - Can my kids attend?
A - No. The purpose of the Embroidery Mart is to conduct business. It is not set up to handle the needs of children, nor are child care services provided. You will need to make your own arrangements for child care while at this event. Displays pose a possible danger with equipment, breakable items and stainable items. Future apparel decorators under the age of 14 will not be permitted in the Embroidery Mart exhibit hall or in the classes. All minors 14+ must show proof of age to register and be accompanied by an adult to enter the Embroidery Mart exhibit hall or Classes. Please note this policy is strictly enforced - babes in arms and tots in strollers are not permitted in the trade show or the classes.
