Q - What is NNEP 2010 - Columbus?
A -
This annual CONFERENCE is a three-day event centered around education. It is designed to bring embroiderers together to learn and share in a fun, comfortable setting. The conference package includes two days of Education, an apparel drive & cocktail hour (the Gathering), a TRADE SHOW and the industry GARAGE SALE. The event has been described as the "family reunion" of embroiderers. It is like sitting down at a table laden with delectable "embroidery" goodies - everywhere you turn, people are sharing ideas and helping each other! This is the "Embroidery Event of the Year." Register for the entire event or register for individual sessions. If you are not interestsed in attending any education sessions, register for the Trade Show and Garage Sale.



The Trade Show features 1000's of products from your favorite suppliers for your commercial embroidery/apparel decoration business. Companies showcasing equipment (embroidery, direct garment printing, laser engraving, sublimation, heat press) digitizing software, blank goods, supplies and services are exhibiting at NNEP 2010.

Q - Who can attend NNEP 2010 - COLUMBUS?
A -
Anyone already involved in the commercial embroidery industry or apparel decoration industries, and anyone interested in commercial embroidery and apparel decoration.

Future apparel decorators under the age of 14 will not be permitted in the sessions and are not permitted in the exhibits without parental supervision. Proof of age required.

Q - When is the Conference?
A -
Thursday & Friday, March 18-19, 2010. There is one session on Saturday, "20 Most Frequently Asked Questions," which is great for anyone that is new, or thinking about starting in this business.

Q - Should I register before NNEP 2010?
A -
Pre-registration is required IF you want to attend any classes. It is not required if you want to attend the Trade Show & Garage Sale. Registration is open, click on REGISTRATION in the upper left of this page or use the Registration links above.

If you are experiencing difficulties with online registration, please call NNEP at
800-866-7396 between 9 AM - 5PM EST, until March 15 and your registration can be taken over the phone. After March 15, you can register on site at the door for the Trade Show & Garage Sale at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Dublin, OH.

Q - Can I register at NNEP 2010?

YES, for the Trade Show & Garage Sale! Registration is open from 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM on Wednesday, 7:30 AM - 5 PM on Thursday, 8 AM - 5 PM on Friday and from 9 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturday.

Q - How much?
A - Full Conference Registration
is $156/person. You can attend any sessions offered. This includes all THREE DAYS at the Conference and Trade Show and Garage Sale. Pre-Register by March 1, 2010. If you want to attend only 1 or 2 sessions, you can register for them individually, until they sell out or until March 1, 2010, whichever comes first.

Trade Show & Garage Sale Registration is $10/person. This includes BOTH DAYS at the Trade Show and Garage Sale.
NOTE: If you are a current member of the National Network of Embroidery Professionals (NNEP), Trade Show/Garage Sale Registration is Free for everyone that attends from your organization.

Come to the Trade Show ready to do business with the suppliers. Bring lots of business cards. Prepare a credit application that includes all the pertinent information about your company, such as your federal tax ID#, credit references, companies with whom you already have Net 30 terms established.

Walk the entire trade show once. If you have time after that, walk it again, going in the opposite direction. Sounds strange, but many folks see things they missed the first time around! If an exhibitor is busy, stop back when you can have the access and time you need to make sure that all your questions are answered. Look at how products are merchandised, get ideas for your business.

Q - Where can I stay?

For Hotel Reservations, call 800-EMBASSY, and mention Group Rate Code "NNA." The group rate is $117.99/night. FYI - The group rate expires 2/17/10. Q - What airport is the closest?
A -
To make air travel arrangements, call your travel agent or check online for competitive airfares to Port Columbus International Airport.

To get to the Embassy Suites Dublin hotel from the airport, contact Dublin Cab at 614-759-9999. They offer a fixed rate of $35/one way.

Q - What is the Garage Sale?
A -
It is exactly what it sounds like, done Embroidery-Style! Check it out - you never know what great bargains you will find! Buying at the Garage Sale is open to everyone attending the Conference or Trade Show. CASH ONLY for most items - there is an ATM located in the hotel. Selling at the Garage Sale is a benefit available only to members of the NNEP. Members can sell embroidery and business items that have collected over the years and that are no longer used. NNEP does NOT take any portion of any Garage Sale proceeds for running this event.
If you need a seller number (required to sell in the Garage Sale) call NNEP at 800-866-7396. Seller numbers are issued ONLY to current NNEP members.

Q - What are Hooper Collectibles?
A -
The sale of Hooper Collectible figurines is one of the primary fundraisers for Embroidery Network Foundation, which supports Women's Shelters across the United States. Support this program by making a donation to the ENF at NNEP 2010. As you enjoy Hooper's sunny disposition, you will be reminded that you have played a role in adding a smile to another.

Q - What is the DoDuds Apparel Drive?

Each year, NNEP hosts a DoDuds Apparel Drive at the Conference for the Embroidery Network Foundation. NEW clothing, blank or decorated, can be donated. All collected apparel items will be donated to women's shelters, as they have great need for new apparel in all sizes, for women and children. Imagine what a difference we can make if everyone brings at least one item!

Q - Where can I eat?
A -
Meals are not included in event registration. The hotel has a full service restaurant on the ground floor. "Grab & Go" box lunches and beverages will be available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday if you want something quick and easy. Enjoy meals with the embroiderers you meet in the Sessions or at the Trade Show! It is a great opportunity to connect with fellow business owners and decorators in a noncompetitive environment!

Q - Can my kids attend?
A -
Children under the age of 14 are not permitted in the Conference sessions. Proof of age is required if you wish a minor, aged 14-18, to attend the Conference with you and that individual must also register to attend.

The Trade Show is held in on several floors of the hotel which are dedicated to the participating suppliers. Equipment displays pose a possible danger and many displayed goods are stainable. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised and are not permitted on the Exhibitor floors without an adult.

The purpose of NNEP 2010 is to conduct business. It is not set up to handle the needs of children nor are childcare services provided. You will need to make your own arrangements for childcare while at this event. Please note this policy is strictly enforced.

Q - Can I wear the NNEP 2010 design?
A -
YES! You can download a digitized version of the NNEP 2010 design. Do your thing, and wear it to NNEP 2010! It is always interesting to see so many different interpretations of a design. The show design is only available in the size and format provided. The digitized file was created by Wicked Stitch of the East, one of the NNEP's supplier members. Thanks, Jay!
